http://www.typingtest.com/ Can't paste my score on here. Still have to master the art of making spoilers. My score however is 38wpm. What's yours? |

Mine is 14wpm. Yay, a new thing to do when I'm bored. Note that I was just testing. That's not my real typing speed. At least I think so. |

113 for me. I have a lot of practice for making my hands quick, such as playing basketball, guitar, piano, and of course, spending hours upon hours on the computer. |

Redid test, on different topic:![]() I'm better at typing out what people have spoken. With this test, you have to, every now and then, glance down at what you have typed, to check for errors. In my lectures, I can keep up word-for-word, about 70. Edited by Dramz, Apr 1 2011, 10:07 PM.

Yeah, I know what you mean, Ablon. In highschool, I took an extra class in order to type really fast and keep up with the lectures, because they don't allow you to stop the class when you're with hundreds of other students. Of course, I was always able to type really fast. And 50 isn't that bad, to tell you the truth. In reality, if you can add 10-30 to that, that is your actual speed. Reading off the screen and typing is distraction, therefore letting your brain let down on the certain motions you need to be able to move your fingers at correct speeds. When free-writing (typing), you will always be faster because you are writing what is on your mind, and you are generally much faster than you would if you were typing off the screen. Periodically stopping to think is a hindrance, but that's not an issue. |

. . . I tried this, but it didn't give me a particularly good score. You see, it seemed to think I had an American keyboard layout. Every time I typed '"' (Shift+2) it put '@' (Shift+') in the box it had. So I had 2 errors for every time it had a word in quotes. A very badly written program xD |
