You could've discussed this in the General Pokemon Discussion, but then again I'm not a mod so it doesn't matter to me. Anyhow, not a bad looking team. You would see those kind on wi-fi what with Blissey having that kind of moveset. 7/10. |

It really... Depends doesn't it? I mean, if I send out say a Dragon type, then only Dragonite and Weavile can kill it. Yet if I send out of the god pokemon that can learn ANYTHING, mainly the normal types and Hotmonlee/Hitmonchan, you are essentially screwed. But a Spiritomb essentially is unaffected by your team. And I like me some Spiritombs. I'd say 5/10 if it's a worse case scenario team to a 9/10 if it's a not very well put together team. Edited by Doom, Feb 26 2011, 09:06 PM.

Forgot all about the general pokemon discussion, whoops. And yeah, my Blisseys pretty basic.
Now that I look at it, there is no point in that Raichu in my team other than the Lolz, and I have a lot of other Pokemon that would actually counter what you suggested. In most battles I see online and most I've ever had, its usually one dragon Pokemon acting as a tank. |

I think that Scizor and Weavile Could be dropped for better physical sweepers. Scizor doesn't have any attacks to take advantage of its high attack power. I don't know if its even possible, but if you could get a Scyther, with Swords Dance, then get that into a Scizor, then take advantage of STAB, with Metal Claw, it'd be much better. That, or drop it and just use Scyther. Scyther is much faster, still strong, and doesn't have a 4x weakness to Fire. A team without fire isn't a good team, so it isn't exactly stable to have a Scizor around. Weavile just doesn't have enough Defence, and has too many weaknesses. Quad to Fighting, single to Fire. I'd say go for someone a little bulkier. Raichu would be better off as a Pikachu with a Light Ball, if you can get one. Togekiss's moveset could be better. My Togekiss's Moveset: -Air Slash: 75 Power, STAB takes that to 112.5 Power, with flinching chance. -Aura Sphere: 90 Power, always hits, fighting, uses Special Attack, Non Contact. Perfect for enemies like Steelix, Tyranitar...etc -Hyper Beam. Overrated, but with STAB, it has 225 power, coming from Togekiss's high Special Attack stat, its a GREAT attack for when he is about to fall. -Thunderbolt/Flamethrower/Ice Beam/Psychic, for the sake of diversity. Pick whatever your team lacks. Blissey was best in Generation II, when, via trading, you could teach it Seismic Toss. I'd opt for Snorlax or someone like that instead. The IV for your Dragonite's Attack Power is very low, you got unlucky. A normal Dragonite, should have around 330-350 Attack, with a little work from the EVs. Outrage is a physical attack in gen IV, I'd go for that over Draco Meteor. I prefer to not bother with Special Attacks with dragonite, and take advantage of its biggest asset, its physical attack: Thunder Wave Double Edge/Body Slam Outrage ![]() That, or just go for Garchomp or Tyranitar. Tyranitar learns amazing attacks. My Tyranitar: Earthquake Rock Slide Crunch ...Bulk Up (if it can learn it, I forget) Overall, I rate it 6/10 |

Like I said, I can't really evaluate. I mean my Diamond Team that I used against Timaeus(and nearly beat mind you) was empoleon, Lucario, the three regis, and a pokemon I can't remember. Yes that's right. I'm a regi bitch. And they WORK because they became swiss army knives in my hands. Especially Regice, my pride and joy. Type trumps it's weaknesses and more, with a fairly decent speed stat as well. I haven't seen your team in action. So I can't say if it truly is good(I hate those fly and surf pikachus), but really it's not the pokemon that decide the team, but in fact it's the player. |

Legendary User..... And I prefer Kingdra to Spiritomb. Kingdra is only weak to Dragon, and can learn Ice Beam. Kingdra generally has better stats than Spiritomb, and can learn better moves. Spiritomb is very good though, if you go for -Confuse Ray -Nasty Plot -Dark Pulse -Psychic My Ideal Team

@Albon Scizor can get Swords Dance, but I was never a fan of stat boosters on sweepers. Bullet Punch is a god with Scizor. My Dragonites a bit messed up, mainly because when I found out Salamence was banned I raged and had to replace it some how. (Oh how I miss my Specmance). I actually have a Tyranitar made because I used to play SandStun for fun and its move set looks kinda like the one you posted. The Hyperbeam on the Togekiss shocked me a bit, and I've thought about Aurasphere for a long time actually. I realized the mistake I made with the Raichu right after I evolved it and saved the game. I QQ'd a bit on that day. To my knowledge Blissey can still learn Seismic Toss. I've been thinking about dropping the Weaville for a while now, but I had no idea what to drop it for. @Yatter I've never seen anyone else use a Flying/ Surfing Pikachu/ Raichu besides me. |

Hyper Beam on Togekiss is particularly useful if the enemy is resistant to your attacks. it can drop a Garchomp of equal level when he is between 1/2 and 3/4 HP. I still prefer Jolteon to Pikachu. Pikachu doesn't have the stats, and Jolteon's Double Kick can kick down a Tyranitar easily. The only dragon type I like is Kingdra. Salamence is okay, but there are better Pseudo Legendaries. I STRONGLY recommend taking a Crobat or Umbreon on your team. I edited my earlier post to show my team, take a looksie. If you want to replace Weavile, look no farther than Heracross. As for Blissey, There was a Seismic Toss TM in Gen I games, that Chansey could learn. By trading to GSC, you could get a Blissey with Seismic Toss, Softboiled...etc I have to say that Chansey in Gen I was even better than Blissey in Gen II, as you could take advantage of its special to teach it offensive moves as well. Swords Dance is rather useful on a sweeper. Swords Dance can turn anyone into a monster. I love to give a Charizard: Flamethrower Earthquake Body Slam Swords Dance. Bring it into battle at a time when it has an opportunity to power up. It has a high speed, and with 3 Swords Dances on, it can OHKO a Mewtwo (personal experience. I battled a friend, and he underestimated Swords Dance) Edited by Dramz, Feb 26 2011, 09:38 PM.

I actually have about half that team made, with a few different moves, I just never use them. My infernape has U-Turn instread of Flame Thrower Crobats got Roost and U-Turn instead of Confuse Ray and Screech. My Alakazams move set is Energy Ball, Physic, Charge Beam and Shadow Ball. I like your move set a lot more. I've never thought of using a Slowbro before. The ideas really interesting to me. I never really thought of it as a tank either. Edited by Yes, Feb 26 2011, 09:45 PM.

Lol not really. You should see my friends and cousins. Biggest Legendary users EVER. The only Legendary GUARANTEED to be seen in my party at any time is Regice, and even then it's generally brought out for the later half of a battle. |

Slowbro, my absolute favourite tank It has very high HP, very good Defence, and Amnesia, to boost its special defence. Thunderwave, Speed is not an issue Surf and Psychic both get Same Type Attack Bonus. In Gen I, he is god, otherwise, he is just an amazing tank. @Yatterman: In some competitive play, ALL legendaries are banned. Teams with legendaries generally aren't respected. Only three I like in the set (Dragonite, Weavile, and Scizor), the others could be changed for three different (like I did with an Absol, had it used Ice Beam, Thunder, Flamethrower, and slash, Blaziken, fully evolved form of Trapinch with black glasses). Also, I heard there is a way to make Spiritomb have the ability -Wonderguard- makes it a whole difference, I rate your team a 8/10. |

Well actually, I think using something with mold breaker such as rampardos would be able to kill it since it nullifies effects that affect it's attacks during battle. I'm not really sure and I've been dying to try that for some time now. In other topics, the team is ok, but it needs a bit more originality. Not really original except for Raichu. Everything else I've seen a bunch of times. Although Togekiss' moveset is kinda off the usual set. I don't know what you plan there, if it works, then keep it. Now since blissey has substitute, but no attacks or anything, I was think smeragle instead. 255 speed Evs and 252 def Evs. It's moveset, Spore,Substitute,BellyDrum,Baton Pass. And use a tank like mamoswine or something. just keep working with it. Now I rate the team 3/5. Just keep improving. |
