RPG Maker Ace? Gotta win!

-- Chapter 1 There was once a time where I could define 'normal'. I guess the word can't be defined for me anymore, since everything about me isn't 'normal'. Once upon a time, we'd go to school at 8 AM in the morning, and then come home at 4PM to do your homework and then end the day with hanging with your friends. Pretty simple life, really. Those who say this isn't do-able by any means has no right to say anything. I say this because I myself find that to be just a luxury in itself. Probably because I never see these days, whether I like to or not. Even if there was a chance to go back, there are reasons why I wouldn't trade it back, for all the troubles are worth living the way is worth, I still enjoy the small things. You're probably asking yourself what do I mean when I say all that? Well for you to understand, I would need to tell you how it began. It's isn't something easy to comprehend, I know, but I'll make it easy for you to understand. It was the middle of August, the trees beginning to change colors, and the weather was changing to a warm, refreshing breeze. School just started, seeing familiar faces along with new students. It was pretty average, just the normal day. In the middle of class I started to smell a sweet scent of cherries. Of course, it wasn't strange because most of the girls here like to wear the tacky perfume. During the end of the day, I realized it was just me, but I know for a fact that it wasn't me, per say. It was just what was around me. I figured this out because I asked people around me if they smelt it. Nope, just me. Call me insane, sure, but as I said, I told you that it's hard to comprehend. Next thing you know, when I was walking home I felt like I just walked smack dab into a wall. No joke, I don't know why, but there wasn't a wall there. Just open side walk and grass. Next thing you know, it felt like the side walk got longer than usual, and then some of the things around me became misshapen. I couldn't really tell if I was just tripping really bad off some sort hallucinogenic drug, or I was just having a bad day. Well, it wasn't either, because I then fall over, and don't wake up. Awkward enough, I just felt like I lost 10 pounds of weight off me when I do manage to come around. I find myself laying in a pile of hay. When I look over, I find a neatly made bed, along with some exquisite furniture you would find in antique shops. The only difference here is that they were new looking. I manage to stand up, getting over the fact I am no longer feeling heavy. Almost like I was on a new planet. Near the door, foot steps could be heard from outside the door. I wasn't particularly sure whether I should be worried, because the room pretty much looked like a girls room. There were faint voices in the background which I couldn't understand. It seemed like a different language, then again, none of the languages I ever heard of. Not German, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, etc. Next thing you know, the door opens up casually. Two girls, and a man comes in. The smaller of the girls, whom is probably the cutest girl I have ever seen. She had long blond hair, her bangs, the sides of her head, all long. So neatly trimmed, so perfect. It was swayed to the right if you were standing next to her. She had sparkly red eyes. Wait, what? Red eyes? That's right! Red eyes, and you heard it from me. They aren't the kind of red eyes you'd see on some horror film at a cheap theater. No, they were a cute, sparkly, bright colored ones. The girl next to her, with red hair, probably 5 inches shorter than the blond girls, of course, that is still long, she had a wavy look to hers. She had bangs, and cute looking auburn eyes. When she walked in, her hair looks so soft and thin that I think it was silk. Just like the blond girl, she was wearing a uniform, apparently, because they were identical. A full dress, with a sort of jacket like top over the top of it, and then a white shirt. The man on the other hand was wearing simple dress pants, the same kind of white shirt, and a kind of robe over it. He had a rough looking beard on his face, and a stern look. He appeared, if this was a school, a teacher, and they were students. To tell you the truth my deductive reasoning is unmatched, if I do say so myself. Anyway, he had whit hair, sort of old looking, definitely not the strongest man on the planet, on the skinny side in fact. When he saw me, he just placed his hand on beard and stared at me. I looked back at him, and then I turned my head in puzzlement. What could he possible want from me? Well I can tell you this though, he isn't comparatively interested on what he doesn't want from me. For a second, he studied me, then he said something to the girls. I wish I knew what they were saying. Odds are, they wouldn't understand anything I would say as well. So I took the hint, and stood there, waiting for something to happen. You're probably wondering why I am not freaking out at this point. Well, seeing as how at the moment I am probably just dreaming, I took the initiative to go along with it. The man stepped over to me and said something to me. It kinda sounded like a mixture of random gibberish, English, and Chinese. Basically, I have no idea what he just said to me. I then just threw a puzzled look his way so he would get the idea I didn't understand. Unlucky for me, this didn't sit well with him. His forehead creased and then he took out a stick. Yeah, a stick. Well, if I can put it shortly, it was a well made 'stick'. It had the context of what looked like a back yard twig mixed with the finely crafted craftsmanship from a craftsmen. He waved it at me. Before long, the cute girl with the blond hair said something. "Did it work?" I flinch in surprise. I think I understood that. Was it English they just spoke? "W-wait. I understood that!" I said in retort to what she said. "Of course it did, silly." She giggled, and turned to the teacher. "Well, with that problem solved, let's get down to the situation at hand. Where did you find this boy?" The teacher said at her. She straighten her glance at me. "Well, as I said, I was practicing my summoning magic, when I find this boy right where I was aiming the summon. I don't want to say I just summoned a commoner like him up, because it is impossible, but he was their." She said to the teacher. She said summoning, so wait, does this mean magic? No, that can't be right. "Anything is possible, my dear. Thank you for informing me, but if that's the case, it is your responsibility." Said the teacher in a way the reflected his look, straight forward. What did he mean by "your responsibility"? "Does this mean I have to take care of this boy...?" She said back at the teacher. Apparently she didn't like the idea, but nor did I, so we came to a mutual agreement there. "Yes it does. You are no longer able to summon anymore until this summon is dismissed." Replied the teacher, now seemingly puzzled on what to do with me. The blond girl looked over to the girl with the red hair, who seemed pretty much no interested in the slightest at all. She glanced at me, before returning it to the teacher. "How long is he going to stay...?" She said, this time sounding worried. Obviously this wasn't a choice of whether I could go back. Then the teacher turned towards me, and then put his hand on my shoulder. I let him do his thing, as long as he didn't get too touchy. He jumped up in surprise. "Woah! This summon being has been summon permanently!" He then took his hand off my shoulder. The fact he said that just threw me off my cool guy act and I finally started to sweat metaphorically. "Permanently?! I am not at that level of magic, how could I possibly be able to summon something permanently?" Once again she retorted back. Maybe this is something I should worry about, because I should be waking up now. Like, now! Common, don't got all day! Wake up! Please? It's no use, no matter how much I beg in my head, there's no way I am currently going to get out of this situation. Looks like this is real, more or less, I guess. "Yes, as I said, you need to take care of him from now on. Just because he a human, a commoner no less, doesn't mean he isn't the being you summoned." The teacher said simultaneously while looking at his watch. This watch was odd, because it wasn't the kind you'd see here, where it's digital. No, it was more like a simple, one hand watch. I couldn't get a good look at it, so I for sure can't tell you anything more. The teacher and the red headed girl cleared out of the room. We were left alone in presumably her bedroom. She then did the cute girl smile at me, which in turn made me blush. She giggled, assuming she noticed. She walked over to me. "Hi?" I managed to say to her. She smiled at me, putting her hand on my cheek. This obviously made me blush even more. Ironically, I couldn't hide it, and I can't avoid the fact she would notice. "Well, seeing as how you're just a human, not only that, a commoner. You wouldn't be much use to me. Maybe you can do the chores for me. That would save me time, and certainly give you functionality." She said to me, still smiling. "What? Yeah, I am a human, and of course a commoner is pretty much sums me up in a way, I guess. Doing your work is kind of slave work. I'm a person, I don't have to do your chores. Do it yourself." "Don't get picky now, you have to. I summoned you, therefore you have to do what I say. Besides, who's going to feed you? Who's going to give you a place to sleep?" She still said with a straight face. Honestly, I think she was getting a kick out of this. I myself didn't find it too funny. "You make a good point. I see you won this little argument here. So like what? Assuming if you piece together what was said, you summoned me, and I can't be taken back." "That's right. Now be a good pet and sit down." She said to me, refraining from her cute giggling. I did what she wanted me too, and I sat down. "Since you're going to be my familiar, you will need to understand a few things. You are to sleep where you are sitting. Next thing-" "On a pile of hay." "Yes-" "Wow. Are you kidding me? It's cold enough as it is, do you want me to freeze?" "You'll be fine, and let me finish! Alright, you will get your food when we have it. The food will be brought in here so you can eat." She went on what happens around here. She expects me to do her laundry, clean her room, and wash up the dishes on the week ends during the feasts they have in the dining hall. Of course, all of this is what I usually do at home, so this isn't too hard. She looked outside and saw it was dark outside. She then quickly turned to me. "It's late, and I need to get to bed. I have class in the morning, and I don't need you to keep me up. Get to bed, alright?" "Wonderful, time for some sleep. Just what I wanted." She ignored what I said, and turned off the candles with the flick of a finger. She then got undressed, and might I say this was somewhat interesting until she threw he clothes at my face. She then got into bed, and I set the clothes down where she instructed me to lay at earlier. I crawled over to my extremely make shift bed of hay, and laid down. The cool night air made it hard to sleep. |
