Long ago I began creating signatures/graphics/etc. in GIMP but they came out to become failures lol. Now I decided to use Photoshop instead and take it step by step.

My First works:

»Picture Restoration«

I had this assignment for class in which I had to restore an old and damaged photo into a much better and cleaner version, Nothing too big.

»First Signature«

Took me about 20 minutes, nothing too big either just used C4d's and some brushes. I actually like it, for my first I think its pretty good. Although the Background came out a bit Jpeg format but that's because I sharpened it and well I might re-make it since It should be soft like the render.

I will update this topic every time I have something new, so be sure to check back =)

Suggestions and all that stuff would be appreciated since I want to get better.

Now I'm really depressed. That sig is really amazing. The other image was good, but I could tell exactly where the additions were even without comparing the two.

yeah
The photo restoration is Posted Image, unless you used CS5, then that would've bee nothing. Nice sig aswell, could you post the old one to compare.

I'm happy with your sigs. Every time I see a sig that's better than mine, I get more motivated for improvement.

[offtop]You stopped posting in my GFX thread D:[/offtop]

I like to keep a small and simple signature.

The only complaint I have about the sig about the render and background is that the render doesn't seem to fit well with the style of the background. The problem isn't it being jpg'd. If you look closely, the brush texture used looks more like a stylistic paint bucket (not the GIMP/PS tool, I mean a literal paint bucket) splatter than a refined dynamic brush. The background isn't bad, just unfitting.

I agree with Saber.

In my point of view, the sig looks... dead.
I think all you need was add more. Add more to make the sig better.

The restoration one is pretty good. And what spyman said, unless you use CS5.

Nope, used CS4 lol.

Ima try adding more into the bg since it was just a plain grey background, Thanks for the suggestions.

I used the Heal brush, Patch Tool and other stuff. I can't quite remember.

Update:

Nothing much, just made another signature due to boredom

Yay, it's better than your FCR sig. You just need to fix more on your C4Ds :O

Yea the problem was that I used to stick to just one color. Now I am learning how to use Gradients =D

As for the C4d, it came out choppy, but I can work on that..Thanks.
