I don't think it took that long. The Magic Wand is called that for a reason. It makes cutting quick and easy, but it isn't as precise as the Pen tool (which is extremely accurate but takes much longer) which is why Spyman used the Eraser to clean up. The cleaning up is probably the only thing that took a bit of time, and even that shouldn't take that long. And as for the problem with the background that I suggested: you could just use an outer space image or create one, copy and paste the image multiple times across the canvas on seperate layers, and change the hues to match each render's colors. Good luck in all your graphical endeavors, Fech. Another member of TREZ's community of graphic designers is always welcome. ![]() Magnificent cuts, Spyman. Edited by Saberman, Sep 23 2010, 08:22 PM.

^I took 5 minutes max, the thing was, I zoomed into each image and noticed a white "stroke-glow". I just selected that with the magic wand with 150 tolerance, that removed the outline. The rest was easy from there. There were some inner parts that the color was too close to the Omega-fire for magic wand, that was when I needed eraser. EDIT: I realized most SF images have the same effect so I ripped this neat Geo Render: Spoiler: click to toggle http://img704.imageshack.us/img704/2348/georiender.png Edited by Spyman exe, Sep 23 2010, 09:35 PM.

Looks like I hit it on the head. 5-10 minutes was my guess, eraser for cleanup. Nice work either way. |
