Here's a screenshot of an app I just started working on.![]() I've been wanting to make something like this for a long time. I have plans to add a hex editing mode where it highlights known data. My ultimate goal is a data interpretation feature where you can specify how the data is stored and it will generate a data viewer/editor on the fly. Even if this was very simple it could work for things like chip data, shop data, etc. Note that this program isn't restricted to MMBN, but for now it's GBA specific. Any ideas on other directions I could take this? Edited by Spikeman, Aug 15 2010, 06:25 AM.

Wow, that is nice. How about another tab specially for subroutines, where you can put input and output? A database of subroutines would be quite useful for making custom NCP routines or attack sequences. Edited by Prof. 9, Aug 15 2010, 06:26 AM.

Oh I forgot to mention that. Another thing I'm thinking about adding is a sort of ASM helper. You can't see it in the screenshot, but I tend to just comment subroutines in my notes in kind of a shorthand way. I'd rather have my program disassemble the ROM and let me add comments/bookmarks so I can keep track of what it's doing. What would be _really_ awesome is if it could hook into No$GBA or something, but I'm not sure how feasible that is. You bring up a good idea though, since an ASM helper is rather complicated I can just have a separate listing of subroutines sort of like how I have RAM addresses showing now. Is this what you meant? |

Looks wonderfully useful. Might even make ASM hacking easier for beginners in it. |

Yeah, and you can input stuff like r0 = chip value, r1 = returned chip address. If you're looking for a tool to disassemble the ROM and add comments/bookmarks, give IDA Pro Disassembler a try. I could never really get it to work how I wanted and it has an extremely complicated UI but it's practically overflowing with functions. http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/pix/idalarge.gif |

That's really neat! Although I currently use no$gba debugger and notepad to store my stuff, this is more organized then notepad. Its like a few tables and then note's stuff. xD |

Wow, this is so much better than notepad, this will be awesome! Since we have many more MMBN hackers here than anything else, hooking it into VBA would more useful for us than NO$GBA. |
