Oh! What about HP recovery? I don't think I've ever encountered a no data in BN5-6 so it might not even exist. Maybe HP Recovery is dealt there somehow.

Well, I think it checks your HP and then gives HP. Is there a possible way to give a null result?

RV Types when using collect on grave battles do not give chips. That gives a null.

It doesnt give no data, it just gives zenny, which is a normal reward.

As for HP Recovery, I completely forgot about it. I'm not sure though exactly how it will work. Ask GM.

If you have the collect NCP on it says no data.

Oh really....well then, I think it just goes to no-data when it cant find a reward. Kind of a default setting.

My theory is it checks your HP and adds in an HP thingie. Then it randomly chooses as HP is the most likely reward(the lower your hp is).

I think I have finds on how S rank is found but I'll be adding it soon. Its worked on the four navis I've testted it on.

just which value seems to load for which rank. The theroy worked on six tested ibcidents for S=7 rank on the diffwerent tested spots.

there are 0x28 bytes per reward section so there are 0x14 prizes for each enemy. the busting level relates like this.
you get a busting level between 0 and 11, this is bit-shifted left by 4 and added by a random number between 0 and 16.
then it gets a byte from 08020B9C plus the value gotten above.
the byte gotten from that is then added to the start of the reward section to get a reward and thats the reward you get. another number may be added later but im not sure.

Have you actually tried this agro?

Firstly, 14 different rewards.
Each reward has some level of overlap onto other busting levels, and GM is explaining this.

From my testing (ab can side with me on this since we were talking) it seems that S rank is most commlonly the tenth 16bit value for navis. I tested it with Test mega, Protoman, Falzar, Spoutman, and groundman. I know fully well it negates the other 4 remaining slots(which should work but I never could get them too.) that go beyond it, but I'm just throwing out there from my own experience what seems to happen.
