Did Prof ever find the offset to change the element that heat and Killer cross charge chips for?
Simply put, they have no element. All Crosses that cannot charge chips are skipped entirely. If you want Heat or Erase to charge chips, you'll either have to sacrifice another Cross's ability to charge chips (you will have to look at the ASM through the disassembler if you want to do this), or use my ASM hack that allows chip charging for all Crosses.

You can also rebuild the charge enabler routine, by compressing it you should be able to fit a few more opcodes in it, but that's a bit harder and requires knowledge of ASM.
... While all three sound possible and useful they are kind of confusing. I'll look into the Enable all crosses to chip charge as that opens most possibility attack wise. For your hack on that do you have it laid out in steps so I can implement it in a patch or no?

This is going to sound strange, but is there any way I can outright disable the cross menu, EXCEPT for in the heat/spoutcross tutorial?

There's a cheat for that. Basically have no crosses unlocked.

I want to make the hack permenant.

I've figured out how to hack custom screen buttons, and I want to make an NcP that enables crosses, by hacking the chip shuffle button and replacing the graphics. I've got the effect down, I just need to disable the normal cross select screen.

This doesn't seem to work for me on normal Megaman. It only works on the crosses, beastouts, and crossbeasts =/

Also, Awhile ago, I hacked in the Gregar crosses, and they worked, but when I went slashbeast, it changed to Groundcross instead.
Did I mess up, or is anyone else getting this?

Yeah, normal MegaMan has some checks in place so it won't use those values. I should go hack them off but I'm focusing on making a patch for a different game right now (Bangai-O Spirits, fyi).

Aw, well of course Capcom would do that >.> I was hoping to change his and only his chargeshot without attack splicing. =/

Well, I'm also working on a different patch atm too(A Pokemon FireRed patch). I don't know when I'll release it, nor do I know where I should release it in here, considering it's non-Megaman. But it'll be interesting for sure.

Prof.9 have you found the chip check attack boost for beastover yet?

What are you talking about? Both BeastOvers have been supported in the Free Cross Powerups and Chip Charge Enabler ASM hacks from the very beginning.

I don't really get what you mean. BeastOver's data is separate from the others, and will only be influenced by normal MegaMan and BeastOut if you use BeastStack.

Oh, so that's what you mean.

BeastOver gives 2x to all Null chip attacks I believe. It doesn't ADD power, but MULTIPLIES it.

There is a separate routine dealing with this. It also deals with the 2x Chip Charge effects. I found it a while ago and started a hack on it, but never finished it.

BeastOver's routine starts at 08012ABC (both versions). I could give you a bunch of addresses like you quoted but the routine for 2x dmg is a bit more complicated than the routine for extra elemental dmg. So, I'm just going to show you how to make BeastOver behave like Black Ace (since I'm assuming that's what you want to do here):

Write bytes C1 7B 01 29 to 02012AEE in 8-bit.

That should make BeastOver give 2x to all non-dimming, lock-on enabled chips that display their attack.

Well it seems doesn't work, but I found this 08012ACC, check chip element for beastover, but it also adds to mega chips, I tried 06, it checks all chip element, but it can't attack enemies e.e

EDIT: I goto 08012ACC and type 0A, it works now, but it boosts mega and giga chips too, so it may be too cheap, any idea to fix it?

You found it at 08012ACC? Are you using the EU Gregar ROM? For US Gregar, there is a bl opcode at that address. Doing what you said on US Gregar WILL cause a crash since you will misalign the stack.

If you found the chip check element at 08012ACC, try this:

At 08012ACA (might be slightly off), replace 81 79 0A 29 with C1 7B 01 29 in 8-bit.

But I found 2C 21 00 F0 in 08012ACA, (BOTH US and EU and BOTH falzar and gregar)

EDIT: WAIT! I found that this affects all crosses, then I must be wrong! O.O (trying to found another one)

EDIT2: I FOUND IT! YEAH!!!!

Yeah, that's right. That's the element.

If you found the element there, then what I gave you the first time should have worked... unless adding power to lock-on chips wasn't what you were trying to do?

If it's possible, of course it's good, but impossible, it's ok.

And yeah, it works, all non-timestop standard chips power x2
