I am of American nationality. I was born and raised in the USA, and this is the only country that I call home. English is my mother tongue. I have never travelled outside this country. I like to use British/Canadian spellings, however, because it's purer. My ancestry is mainly Chilean. I don't follow any specific customs from that country though. I also have some great grandparents from Spain. I can speak Spanish pretty well as a secondary language, but I can also speak French well too. I have to resort to a dictionary to look up lesser-used words in Spanish and French sometimes though, but my grammar is good. (I aced the high school state exams for Spanish and French in NY with 100%.) I also know some Italian, but I am going to try to learn either Japanese or German next. Heh. xP |

If your parents aren't born in the US, but you are, you are 1st generation of that ethnicity. IE: I was born in US, but my parents were born in Vietnam. Thus, I am first generation Vietnamese. |
