First you must have GBA Graphic Editor. All Background are compressed sprites and most of them can be found just edit the image number in Compressed controls. Note: There is no area control Backgrounds, so you have to find in GBA Graphic Editor. Edit background image I will use Graveyard as an example. First get the palette offset for the Background, since Graveyard's background will change the palette, so you will see different palette index. ![]() Next find the sprites + add palette in GBA Graphic editor. ![]() Then, draw your image depends on the dimension of the image you got. Spoiler: click to toggle Import the image you drew, and make sure its not more then 15 colors. ![]() At last, you can edit the palette in Color Control. ![]() Enjoy hacking Backgrounds !!! Sure, it works fine for stars, but how do you plan on adding your own TSA? Or adding larger backgrounds? There is a limit to the size, in bytes, of the background tiles which places huge restrictions. |

yeah. You could do a simple trick with Chroma Keyer in Sony Vegas for larger backgrounds, or if you're lazy. And just do BG's that size when hacking. |

It should be right under the first one you edited......... aside from that, assuming youve tried to edit that, if you rip the firing sprite for me, I can find it for you. |

I honestly can say I dont know what you are talking about atm bri. you found the OAM set for the first frame, obviously. the second should be right underneath it. Also, lets move the discussion about sprite OAMs to a more fitting topic. http://s6.zetaboards.com/The_Rockman_EXE_Zone/topic/8597153/1/ Edited by Dramz, Jun 15 2010, 10:20 PM.

that stuff is somewhere with the navi data....guess who knows how to edit that....it starts with a D and ends with arkcross. the G-Buster fire that youve partially edited though needs to be fully edited. Edited by Dramz, Jun 15 2010, 10:41 PM.

I can't seem to find the ACDC HP graphic offset. However I can recognize the Sky HP, Green HP, and Weather Comp. =/ EDIT: How did you arrange the tiles? Photoshop? Or somewhere on GBA Graphics Editor I didn't know about? ANS: Oh, I see. Change the width on the right. EDIT2: What's the size of each tile? I don't think you told us that. If we were to arrange it, wouldn't it matter? Edited by timaeus222, Jun 15 2010, 11:46 PM.

You can't find it? Image 123. If you want to arrange the tiles, you may have to cut the tiles into pieces and arrange in any program you want, I just use paint. The tile dimension is 3 times the dimension in GBA graphic editor. |

I can't quite get the dimensions right... It automatically doesn't import the image because it's too big. Then when I bypass that, it makes it freeze. |

I've been doing my thing, and examining where and how the game reads Background data The palette data has its own pointer, and yet the actual graphic does not seem to. this intrigues me greatly. Palette data is reasonable simple for backgrouds. a least the graveyard bg uses 00 20 (2000) as its transparent colour, and the backgrounds have multiple palettes....simple enough. Also, for those of us not so experienced with programs after finding the offset for the palette data, how would we go about finding the offset of the image? Edited by Dramz, Jun 17 2010, 02:03 AM.

Like what I have said, you have to guess in GBA Graphic editor, MOST of them can be found in compressed control. |

It turns out that I managed to make it work by saving a BMP instead of a PNG. Well... Not really. I got weird glitches. My buster attack was different, but only once each turn. Each turn I went into the custom screen, my emotion became exhausted. I could move during Time Freeze. The third turn, I disappeared and the game froze. And ALL I did was follow this guide, nothing else. >_> EDIT: Okay, never mind. I got it to work. After following this guide and getting the glitches on a CLONE game, I made it work out by simply repointing the graphic and palette manually after retrieving a raw dump file of the background and its header.
