Welcome to the guide of Effect Hacking. Effect Hacking is just what the enemy's current effect is. If you've seen my video "ProtoMan's Life Long Lesson", that will be what I'm going to teach you. If you saw my video, you saw that it was live editing, of course. I couldn't have done it in the ROM editing. Of course, the RAM. The RAM, when you edit it, it gives you live changes. When you're editing in the ROM section, it requires some sort of change to make the change occur, right? Okay, so since we're in the RAM, here's our RAM offset: 0203853A Here's the key we're going to be using then: ![]() So, if you look, there are exactly... 7 possible effects I found. If you enable them all at once, it isn't going to create an effect as good as mine I created. Lets go over each effect one by one. Bubble Effect The Bubble Effect wraps around the enemy for as long as you specify. If you set the value for the Bubble Effect to 123, it will wrap a bubble around the enemy and it will burst when 123 milliseconds are complete. You can also attack the bubble itself to pop it. This means it is an actual effect that can has a weakness of electricity. Freeze Effect The Freeze Effect keeps the enemy frozen for the specified time. Set the value to 1000. It will hold off for 10 seconds, I believe? Or more because we're using hex, remember? You can use a chip like fire to give double damage, of course. Invincibility Effect This would be a great use in challenges. "Keep Invincibility on for about 1 minute", right? So, now, this actually works, so it gives the enemy invincibility. Use carefully, or you'll die! Flickering Effect I won't need to go over this much, the enemy flickers for as long as the time you specify. It still has the ability to move. Confusion Effect So, here, set the time to... 1000 milliseconds. The enemy will be confused for about a long time? Hexadecimal, remember? If it were decimal, it would be much faster. So, it didn't really work for me... It might for you, but it did work a few times. Remind yourself not to use the confusion effect much. Paralyzing Effect What this does is basically keeps the enemy paralyzed for as long as you want. Have fun attacking your enemy and killing them with this unlimited effect! Damaging Effect This effect is pretty useless, although you might want it for some random reason. It just does its paralyzing animation. Have fun...? So now, you got all those effects? Use them. I have one more effect for you guys! ![]() Agro's Effect This effect is the BEST OF EM ALL. It tortures the enemy, whatever you want, however you want, whenever you want, and wherever you want! All you do is turn 2 simple values on, and its all done for you. The Bubble Effect and the Freeze Effect. Try it out! NOTE: This effect is the one I showed in my video. So, I hope this guide will come useful to you guys... And end guide! |

I had forgotten to post the status effect values. They're kind of difficult to use in a real battle though. |
