Welcome to the guide of editing how high or low a battle stage is. At the end of this guide, I will give you a special on creating earthquakes in your ROM. At a certain RAM offset, 0204998C, you can edit earthquakes at the start of it in the overworld. But, I will be starting at another point in that RAM offset, 020499AC, where you can edit how high or low a battle stage is. You can get it as high as you want, or as low as you want! Alright, so see this: ![]() Those 2 values can set how high or low you want the stage. There are many different options, but I'll just show you one that will work. You can randomly test, actually. I'm just showing you one I found. So, at the custom screen, the stage is along the line of the bottom line of the VBA window. So now, the adjusting values currently are F1 FF: ![]() Well, now, you can change the FF to an FA to get it to its smallest place possible. Change the FA back to an FF. You can change the F1 to a 00 to also get a lowest stage. Now, to get it higher, just change F1 FF to a simple 0F 20. That will make the stage go high enough to be at the highest possible. Well, now that's pretty simple. You can randomly test values. You can also edit the stage altitude while battling to make a cool effect. Now, on to earthquakes... At the RAM offset, 0204998C 16-bit, you can edit the first value to create an earthquake, in battle or overworld. Change the 0000 to a... 0088! The earthquake will last 88 milliseconds, I think, and then stop. You change the value as high as you want, and it'll last that long. If you want to make it for a mini-series and FFFF won't give enough time, when it's close to 1000, reload it back to FFFF. Now, for a special, edit the first 10 bytes of the RAM offset, 0204998C, to give some fun. I change 0000 0000 0000 to 1111 1111 1100. And it'll give you some surprise! What it does is give an earthquake while moving the battle stage up and down and up and down and up and down until 1111 (earthquake value) reaches 0. Edited by Agro, Jun 8 2010, 11:33 AM.

Does it only work on Mega Man Battle Network 6 Roms? Or does it work on all Mega Man Battle Network games? What I mean is the earthquake part. And is it possible to create earthquakes in other Mega Man Battle Network games aswell? Edited by Sar-Prince, Jun 22 2010, 03:23 AM.

If there are earthquakes in the game, yes, of course. Probably in all games. But these RAM offsets are only for BN6. |

Thanks for your reply, but do you also happen to know the Ram offsets for the earthquakes in BN 1-5? |
