its finally time for me to post something not related to sprites in any way. This will be particularly useful to patch makers. Requirements: Hex Editor Direct Enemy Hacking experience Certain enemies have certain numbers of attacks. eg) Killerman has 2, Tenguman has 3, Protoman has 5...etc If you try to give Killerman Protoman's AI, it freezes when it wants to use attack 3, 4 or 5. lets fix that. Okay, now go to the navi you want to edit. I'll be using my favourite ragdoll, Heatman. On MMBN6 Falzar, go to 080F2A28 = Heatman Now, scroll down, just past the "wall" of FFs and highlight the first byte of data after the FFs, and note the offset. In the case of heatman, 080F2B14 Now, use your hex editor to search for this offset, ie) Control F, Hex Values, 14 2B 0F 08 It will take you to a pointer at 080F23B0, that points to this data. We need to point this to an expanded offset, eg) 08800000, so change 14 2B 0F 08 to 00 00 80 08. Now, if you want to test, the navi will simply not work, cause we arent done. It's a little pointless to just put Heatman's data there, so lets get a navi with more attacks...my other ragdoll, Protoman. So, we go to 080FB8B4 = Protoman Scroll down just past the wall of FFs, and copy From that byte, to the end of his last attack. Paste this at the offset you pointed to, in this case, 08800000. Now, hack a battle with any version of heatman, and fight him. If you've done it right, he will use all 5 of protomans attacks. Simply edit what you pasted in the same way you would edit heatman normally to give him a different attack set. make sure to give him an AI that uses 5 attacks if you want him to actually use them all. Simple stuff really. Any questions, comments or hatemail, just post in this topic, and I'll be happy to respond. EDIT: Also, I've been wanting to post this somewhere for awhile. Attatched to this post is the OSS Clockman dump, flipped, so he is usable in MMBN6. The animation pointers need adjusting, but he is facing the right way. there should be no bugs as it is a capcom official sprite. enjoy

Oh My god. This really WORKS. You can also use this to repoint to other Navi's attacks and such. |

I've skimmed through it and why exactly is this working? I'm trying to figure out the logic behind this because when I tried Tim's guide, it made no sense. |

Now if only we could modify the AI so it would read more than a small number of attacks, then we could have an impressive battle. I remember when I made this video: Now if only that could be an enemy... well, without airspin/airhockey of course

| I run a Mass Effect 3 modding site named ME3Tweaks.com that details how to mod ME3 as well as showcasing mods for the multiplayer aspect of the game. I also developed a mod manager utility as well as an online mod creation tool named ModMaker. | |

I was thinking the same thing Mgamerz. I don't understand ASM, so I'm not even gonna try. there are a couple people who do, so...I'll leave it to them. |

Found a more shorter and faster way to do it - http://s6.zetaboards.com/The_Rockman_EXE_Zone/topic/8649817/1/?x=0#post8096555 Basically, it just replaces the navi without replacing the current sprite and it uses the AI from before. |
