DS Games Palette modding Guide I. The Tools DeSmuMe Emulator Photoshop or any picture program that can recognize color values Advanced Palette Editor By HackMew Patience. You need to be patient. II. The Guide Open DeSmuMe. Go to the place or find the sprite you wanna mod. At DeSmuMe, go to Tools > View Palette. Find the colors of what you want to mod. OH NO! YOU CAN'T SEE THE VALUES OF THE COLORS! OMG WE'RE DONE FOR! ... Just kidding. Now it's Photoshop time. Take a screenshot of the colors of what you want to palette mod and save it. Google Photoshop if you don't have it. Now open Photoshop and open the picture. Then go to File > Save for Web. Now click the eyedropper tool. Click the first color of what you wanna mod. Then you'll notice that the color is highlighted at the color table. Double click it. At the window that poped up, check the "#" value. Now open APE. Open your game. APE won't find it, but if you go to the game file and copy-paste the name of your game, it will find it. So open it. Now click "Load By Searching". Now at Actual Palette, fill ALL boxes with "0000" each. Now open the color picker for the first color by double clicking the color under its value. Now, remember the "#" value from Photoshop? Well... Paste it here. Now do the same for all the other colors. You know, get the "#" value from Photoshop, and then paste it at APE. Now Search. If you're lucky, the offset will be found. If not try again. At Changed Palette write the values of the colors you want to replace the actual colors with. Once you filled ALL boxes, click replace. That's it! You're done! NOTE: For the changes to apply you gotta close your emulator, open it, go to a different place or something, and then try again. Also, make sure you have the ENGLISH US Unicode for USA games, British English UNICODE for Europe, and Japanese unicode for JP games. IMAGES COMING SOON! III.
