![]() It is time for the next official Hacked Battle Contest, hosted by TREZ. I'm expecting a really exciting turnout this time. The theme for this contest is free-for-all. Anyone may enter the competition and compete for prizes. To enter, you must pick 2 Navis to enter. The Navi must be from any official Megaman Battle Network game except 6. There are dozens to choose from. This runs on a first-come first-serve basis and Navis may be disputed. This means you can convince someone else to exchange their called entry. You must say which 2 Navis you will enter in this topic so it may be organized in a table. The 2 Navis you choose must have customized moves. You may ally one of the Navis or fight both of them at once. Also, you must play as MegaMan and Beast Out is not allowed. Bosses as well as souls are not allowed too. You can use VBA's AVI record option to record your videos. Here's a quick list of important details so far: - 2 Non-BN6 Navis only - Original moveset - Must use either version of MMBN6 (US) - Must play as MegaMan only - 1 entry per person - Only neutral patches allowed (like my patch) - MegaMan must win - No special effects added to the video - You may add dialog or a scene to your entry - No Lua scripts You may only submit one entry per Round. There is a submission board. Submit Entry Since bosses from BN1-3 won't import correctly, you'll have to use Greiga Master's Custom Sprite Maker (available to members with more than 10 non-spam posts) to add the sprite into the game. You may submit data files (like .DMP) in the entry form if you wish. These files must have the offset for their use in parentheses after the file name. Please ZIP your entry files if you do so. You must provide a link to your video in your entry. Please do not reveal your video until I have opened the next stage of the contest. All members will be judging and Nemomon will keep track of the administrator votes. Voting does not begin until after Round 1 is over. Voting for entries in Round 1 will be found in the topic called "Round 1: Voting". Entries must be judged based on originality of the entry, level of hacking, and overall impression. Those who make it to the next round must make a new video using the same Navis. It's a chance to try something different. Rounds are periods where entrants work on their entries. Some discussion is allowed. Remember you are competing with each other. Voting is where members vote for the better entry. The top 6 entrants move on to Round 2 and make a new video. If there is a tie, admin vote will break the tie, except in the final round. Here are important dates for the contest: 3/17/2010 - Round 1 begins 3/25/2010 - Round 1 ends; Round 1: Voting begins 3/27/2010 - Round 1: Voting ends, 6 entries proceed; Round 2 begins 4/02/2010 - Round 2 ends; Round 2: Voting begins 4/04/2010 - Round 2: Voting ends, 3 entries proceed; Round 3 begins 4/07/2010 - Round 3 ends; Final voting begins 4/09/2010 - Contest ends; winner is announced If there is a tie in the final round, a deathmatch will be held in which I pit one of each of the entrant's Navis against each other. The winner of the deathmatch will be the winner of the sixth Hacked Battle Contest. Prizes are undetermined at the moment. Nemomon may come up with some and should remove this sentence when he does. If there is a change in the schedule, I might not be able to attend the events of April 10 since it will be my 18th birthday. If there are any questions about the contest, you may always ask. Here is the entry table:

Not rom but .dmp files You can export them (I think, I'm not deep into this kind of stuff) from Your Memory Viewer. And yes, that's optional. |

Out of curiousity, would Clockman count within the official Battle Network cast? Since he appeared in OSS which did include a short extra scenario that he was included at. |

I think I would agree with Brian. Battle Network series is: EXE 1 EXE 2 EXE 3 EXE 4 EXE 4.5 EXE 5 BCC NT PON LON However again, MRE needs to confirm, if OSS for him belong to EXE series, or not. If belong, SSRockMan as well as ClockMan and few other are available. EDIT: From the other side, GF calls OSS as: Mega Man Battle Network: Operation Shooting Star, so theoretically why not.. |

But won't OSS technically count as BN1? Thus still a BN game? I'm not joining this or anything, but mainly wondered if Clockman counted. |

Honestly, I do not see why OSS navis would be out of the question. It is a Megaman Battle Network game. It's BN1... with extras. :l Besides, the only game not allowed is BN6, but MRE has the final word as to who's allowed or not. |

OSS counts. You may use viruses as support for your moveset. They must be disguised as well, so not viruses are seen in battle. Also, I believe Round 1 started so that means you have until voting to enter. |
