it would be cool if there is going to be a sf4 but most likely there isn't going to be one. because the main point of the sf series was to get geo to rescue his dad and he does it in sf3 so there won't be much of a point of making sf4...

I think Duo's reappearence seems very plausible. After all he did say he'd come back in the future, and SF is futurist enough to me. This could also lead to epic BN references which I love.

Duo: I have come to test this planet once more. I shall destroy it if humans can't prove being able to defeat their own evil.

i say this cause i just hate everything in Bn4.the music was lame for that much, and its mostly because i hold a damn grudge over the fact Duo is the only boss i still havent beat yet in EXE.

ugh.... giant laser is overused by all the sf bosses, andromeda and le mu couldnt be hurt when moving from side to side like duo, andromeda and crimson could both release missles, and all of them launched atttacks that required rapid dodging like the fists. Plus they are all massive and aren't on any panels. Therefore, Duo would just be like the rest of them. Idea=FAIL.
Also, do tell me what EM beings that geo hasn't killed that still remain and would be good... because there are none.
Once again, Duo would essentially rip off all the other end game bosses. There's nothing original left for him. Plus, BN4 in my opinion was the second worst, with 5 being the worst.

BN4 wasn't really x10 fun, but it was fun. It was annoying at times, though. I lost to Duo a billion of times, until I watched a video on how to defeat him.

torch, what was so bad about 5? i surely enjoyed the game, i mean sure those LM's were very painfully hard, but overall you get to say: GET TO DA CHOPPAH!

I'm with Torch here.

For the most part, the game felt like a chore to play through, what with the way some of the scenarios are designed. Some required your D-pad to be working properly. Others had obstacles that would completely screw you over if you were unlucky enough to run into a virus while you're trying to pass an obstacle.

That's not my main gripe with the game though. My main gripe with 5 is the same as almost everyone else that specializes in folder building: 5's battlechips were poorly designed, and absolutely sucked for the most part. Probably the most unfriendly folder building potential since the first game.

The large majority of the offensive battlechips were close-ranged, and the few that were ranged were too slow or had some kind of effect that made using them overly complicated. Almost all offensive battlechips flinched, and few battlechips formed viable combos with each other. This resulted in many of the Souls looking as if they were underpowered, and later Liberation Missions became luck based missions that became too reliant on what you got within those three turns of combat and if you were using a Navi whose charged attack could actually hit something.

Anyways, on the subject of Star Force... Before I go any further, I'd like you guys to take a look at the Japanese sales charts below. The numbers aren't 100% accurate, so add anywhere between 30-100k to each game's sales numbers to get an idea of what the sales are like.

Sure, EXE continued past 3. However, there is one thing that that many that are pro-Star Force continuing that use this argument tend to forget: As evidenced in the sales charts above, EXE is probably the only Rockman series that actually became more popular with each game, while all other Rockman series saw a rapid sales drop immediately after the first game.

I remember an article on Protodude's blog from sometime in Summer 2008 - Winter 2009. The article claimed that the developers of Star Force were hoping that Star Force 3 would sell at least somewhere around 150k in Japan. Those were noted to be low sales expectations. Star Force 3 did meet those expectations... But I recall it taking somewhere around 2 months for it to do so, while the later EXE games would have done it in just two or three weeks.

I find Star Force 4 to be unlikely. The developers appear to have little hope left for the series. I think that they quickly threw together Operate Shooting Star to buy themselves some time to think about what they should do next.

- With the rumors of a new Nintendo handheld around the corner, with some claiming that it may be released as early as the end of the year, it's possible that they might already be at work on a new Internet Timeline series for it.
- Also, Famitsu did not hold a 'Create-A-Character' contest this year. The last time that I recall them not holding this contest was after EXE 6, when nobody knew about Star Force.
- If their next real project is not ready yet (well, I'm HOPING that they were working on another project alongside OSS, because I doubt OSS required the efforts of the entire development team), they might quickly throw together another game, similar to Operate Shooting Star.
- There's also the possibility that we might not even get an Internet Timeline game this year.

ill say this, when it comes to buidling good battlechips, id go ahead with 5 and 3, but 4, aside that airhockeyspam, what good battlechips are they're to say your folder is epic?

4 is a rather bad game... If you did not have someone with the opposite version to link up with. I would say that the huge amount of bonus content unlocked when exchanging data with the opposite version is the reason why EXE 4 ended up being so popular in Japan.

EXE 4's folder building potential is also very solid, especially when compared to 5. I know some people who believe that 4 had the best folder building in the entire series (although I honestly believe 6 is far superior due to great all-around battlechip design and how Crosses finally got the transformation system right). I think Midnite is one of these people. You might want to talk to him about that, because even I will admit that 4 has much more than epic AirHockey spam.

It's just like airhockey in BN4 without full syncro except that you get four types of them (V1, V2, V3, and X) instead of 3 and you can select any one with any other sicne its starforce :D

I think starforce didn't do as well as it could've because people kept remember EXE and how it replaced it...
