Upgrading Enemy AI Guide I'm not gonna go much in depth with this, just like the basic idea on what to do; the rest is experimentation . To start with, this guide is for editing GBeast's AI as an example. This does apply to other navis (except Bass, whose AI functions differently). I'll be using MMBN6: Cybeast Gregar for this guide. First, open VBA and open your BN6 ROM. I'm sure you beat the game before you are doing this, so just mod a battle with GBeastSP and get ready to encounter him after you make some changes here. Open memory viewer, and go to 08107B24. Scroll down until you see this: ![]() Do you see that boxed offset? Go there. 08107C4D, for GBeast's AI. ![]() You are here. Now, you are trying to find lone offsets after the multiple(official definition is 3 or more) offsets in a row that describe GBeast's AI. Here's one: ![]() This offset points to GBeast's type of AI. If we were to use Protoman as an example, it means that Protoman V1 cannot use Reflect Shield, but EX, SP, RV, BX, and No-Name can. That's what it means. In this case, it says that GBeastSP, RV, BX, and No-Name can use HeatBreath, but EX and V1 cannot. If you haven't figured it out already, the lone offset pointing to the AI, points to 08080404, which is right after the offset. Lone offsets like these can point to any of these objects: - The type of AI, like above - Movement Speed - Attack Speed - Attack Delay(s) Movement Speed is basically how fast they move. Attack Speed is how fast their attack is executed. Attack Delay(s) is/are how long they pause after they attack, or before they attack. Another example, this time of movement speed: ![]() The last thing you need to know is that 32-bit is completely opposite of 8-bit. Regular hackers should know that. And therefore, that means the values that affect speed go in the order of [No-Name, BX, RV], SP, EX, V1. The reason No-Name, BX, and RV are bracketed in, is because all three versions are affected by the one value. An example of AI upgrades are in my Hard Mode Patch Demo Video for MegaMan Battle Network 6: Cybeast Falzar. the movement speed is the first one you see in a chain of "offset, xyxyxyxy", where x is a low number, always 0-3, and y is 0-C. It's usually stuff like 1420283C or 04080C10. I don't think you quite get this. You have to go to their AI's offset. In Tomahawkman's case, 080F9751. Movement speed should be at 080F98F4. Edited by timaeus222, Feb 15 2010, 10:39 PM.

Is it possible to change the type of AI down to what level of attack the AI can use? That would fix a a lot of attacks that only certain versions can use. |

Wait, so like, ElecPulse1 and FreezePulse? I still don't think that's possible. But you can edit the speed of the attack's move, and the level of AI of the navi, such as ProtomanV1 using Shield and dash slash when it's normally EX and higher that can use Shield and dash slash. |

Could you use this hacking to make for example, the SP version of protoman FZ, act like the V1 version?, use certain atttack slots, use base levels of the attacks, rig atack power (without going into the other placve to edit attack) effectively change 3F protoman into 3D protoman, barring the name, and HP? |
