OK, how many of you love to attack splice, but can't make it permanent? Well, this guide will show you how! *i might update later* What you will need: VBA emulator. Megaman battle network 5 or 6 Rom. Hxden *Hex editor* Memory viewer in the VBA. timaeus' attack Splicing Notes. ok, first, find the Navi you want to hack. Lets use Protoman in BN6 for starters. For protoman's attack offset, go here in the Memory viewer: 080FB8B4. Now you should see a wall of FFFFFFF s for several lines. Scroll down till you see 080FC153. This is his Hero sword attack. If you wanna change it permanent, Open the rom in HXDen *expand it first. Click ctrl+ end to get to the end of the file, click Edit --> Insert Bytes, and insert 800000. Now save.* Ok, now go to 00fC153. This is his offset in the hex editor. The first 8 is always 0. You should see a wall of FF FF FF again. Scoll down until you see 53 C1 0f 08. This is the hero sword value. Now, for an example, we'll replace the Hero Sword with the Z-saber. here is the offset: 080EFEE1. To find other attack offsets in Hex, Put it in 32 Bit in the Memory viewer, then switch to 8 Bit. Z saber becomes E1 FE 0E 08 *if these are wrong, ill correct later, so don't point it out* Now, save it in the Hex editor, then go fight him and .....voila! Protoman now uses Zero's blade! I will post pics later. For all known attack offsets, go here: http://s6.zetaboards.com/The_Rockman_EXE_Zone/topic/8553798/1/ |

Two things, this is just like the enemy hacking guide except it tells you that offsets are backwards in a hex editor, which I'm sure me and many others have done in the past. No offense but this was kind of unnesccary. |

What the hell? Dude, EVERYONE who his able to do attack splicing would OBVIOUSLY figure out that to make it permanent, you would have to edit the ROM in the hex editor. Your so late on this one. Maybe about 2 years? |

Attack splicing was coined by me. It's when you take the steps to an existing attack and switch them. The example I used in my guide was switching the throw explosion at the end of mastercross with drillarm and lightning bolt. |
| I run a Mass Effect 3 modding site named ME3Tweaks.com that details how to mod ME3 as well as showcasing mods for the multiplayer aspect of the game. I also developed a mod manager utility as well as an online mod creation tool named ModMaker. | |

You know how much eaiser it is to make a dump file then load it on right? You'll even have the data in case you want to use it somewhere else or later, or maybe you just don't want to import it right away, it works a lot better. |
