First, go to Chaud in ACDC. This is the easiest Freebattle to find, and so we're using it. Enter the address below in the Memory Viewer, and set it to 8-bit. 0800B338=Protoman FreeBattle You will see the following values: FF 00 00 00 65 05 02 00 FF The first and last values are the dividers. These set battles apart. To add another enemy, you must move star a new set of enemy values(XX XX XX XX) and add FF after the four values. The 3 values following(00 00 00) are useless. Don't bother with them. The next 4 values are what create your enemy. The format is: WW XX YY 00 WW= The enemy you face. The values are all listed below. XX= X-axis coordinate location of Enemy. YY= Y-axis coordinate of Enemy. The location values 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 01 [ ] [ ] [ ]|[ ] [ ] [ ] 01 02 [ ] [ ] [ ]|[ ] [ ] [ ] 02 03 [ ] [ ] [ ]|[ ] [ ] [ ] 03 04 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 If anyone finds a battle in Area 1, please let us know. While the Protoman FreeBattle will suffice, its always good to have an earlier battle. Do you need to beat the game in order to use this? Chaud is not in ACDC. |

No actually. You could search up those values and compare the virus/navi value. All of the boss battles are lined up there. |

Chaud is in ACDC at the end of the game, but I'm not sure when he first shows up there. To make it easier for me to help you guys, what's the earliest navi freebattle? I'll find a random battle in area 1 or somewhere as well, but freebattles are the easiest ones to hack. They're easy to find and consistent.

RPG Maker Ace? Gotta win!

The only thing is that you need to be almost done with the game to fight chaud and do the hackings. So it makes this hard even though is the probably the easiest battle netowrk guide there. |

What's the earliest? I wrote the guide, and I'd like to update it. What's the earliest freebattle? EDIT: I found the Gutsman freebattles. They are all located at 0800B21C. The first set is v1, the second v2, and the third v3. EDIT2: I found something interesting. At 080098D3, Changing the 62 to anything else seems to yield a random set of enemies in the Gutsman v3 freebattle(0800B22C). They appear to only consist of cannons, metts, flappys, and beetanks, leading me to believe there is another value in the vicintiy that changes the area the enemy sets are selected from. I feel as though I may have found this a long time ago, but I can't find any records of it. EDIT3: It turns out that changing any value in the 32-bit string there makes it randomize. 080098CD yields some interesting results if you change it. FF skips the battle and teleports you to the classroom. Addresses of interest: 08009ACC 08009AE6- Changing to 01 causes Gutsman not to move until he's hit. 08009CF0- A structured set of values follows this, and it shows constistency(FF 68). I'll be looking into this. 08009D80 08009D88- Change to FF to completely hide Gutsman's HP. 0800AA14- Gutsman v3's HP mod. This is progress. 0800C900- As far ahead as I tested for a battle mod. Nothing though. I'm beginning to think a battle mod doesn't exist, and if it does, it's absolutely nowhere near the battles themselves. Edited by Buster, Jan 3 2010, 06:02 PM.

okay, I'm having some trouble with the HP modifier offset. Can someone just make a cheatcode that gives you 1000HP standard? |

If that doesn't work, try putting an 8 where the 3 is instead. |

it's an "8" in front, and we want the hex value of 1000, not 1000 in Hex anyway, it works perfectly...I just have to use it with an enabler to keep my save (long story), but yeah....now I'll be able to do battles normally....thank you again Bransound. |

Cool, so this is the actual code (8200022C ????), and the last four digits are whatever value you want in hex, nice. Just remember with this type of code you drop the first digit of the offest adress and replace it with an 8. I believe its a 3 when only the last two digits of the value your changing can be edited. Something to do with the difference in bits if I'm not mistaken. |

Is there any kind of enabler code that will stop this deleting my save file.... it doesn't work with the normal enablers, and cause I run on a MAC, I have to close the VBA, re-open and load the battery to use codes. |

Interesting, I'll see what I can do. Meanwhile, doesn't a mac allow you to use a save state? |

Yes, but for a cheat to take effect, I have to load the battery save. In the process of trying to apply this cheat, I trashed my file, I put on the code, it worked, then I put on codes for full libary, chips, buster...etc and the HP code lost it's effect. I also have to have the HP code in effect constantly. as it wore off after 1 battle Stupid Mac.... |

Ahhh, I see, you must understand that with code breaker cheats, you can only use codes of the same enabler code at the same time. If some of those cheats are from another enabler code, than they will cancel out the previous cheats. Most cheats have both code breaker and game shark codes. You can use those together. Try to find game shark or action replay cheats for the other stuff you want like full chips and stuff. |

Also, if these are from the same code enabler, did you use a 3 and not an 8 for the other cheats you tried, I think they use a different amount of bits. Like for custome gauge its a 3. |
