At the request of mega rock.exe, I made a Java program that makes converting text into cheat format for the editing of overworld messages less tedious. Here's the link. How it works: you input a start offset and some text, and it outputs the text in this format: 8202DDCA 321D 8202DDCC 3126 8202DDCE 0031 8202DDD0 2A1E 8202DDD2 3938 8202DDD4 3298 8202DDD6 382A 8202DDD8 2638 8202DDDA 2A2C Or, when in debug-mode: Small Test-message S <- m = 8202DDCA 321D a <- l = 8202DDCC 3126 l <- = 8202DDCE 0031 T <- e = 8202DDD0 2A1E s <- t = 8202DDD2 3938 - <- m = 8202DDD4 3298 e <- s = 8202DDD6 382A s <- a = 8202DDD8 2638 g <- e = 8202DDDA 2A2C Here's how to use it; Obviously, unpack the zip first. Then open a command prompt and browse to the folder with the unpacked .class-file. (or run a .bat-file in the folder with the only contents 'cmd' without the quotes) This is the input format: java CheatStringMaker (-d) [offset] [text | filename] The following lines produce the two examples above: java CheatStringMaker 8202DDCA Small Test-message java CheatStringMaker -d 8202DDCA Small Test-message You can also enter the path of a text-file containing the text; java CheatStringMaker 8202DDCA somemessage.txt Here's the full list of supported characters: format: input code = hex code = character Spoiler: click to toggle

Alright! This is totally working. I have managed to perfectly convert a message that has a new box and a new speaker. It looks great and seems to have no errors! |

You just have to make a .bat file with the instructions. When the program is open, type in the default commands, java CheatStringMaker (-d) [offset] [text] Push Enter and it will generate the cheats. |

search for a program that can run Java files. like Java RunTime(something like that). I kinda wish instead of a .java he uploaded it to a site and embedded it into there so we could do it online instead of using a java program, but oh well. |

You can use text files to convert. That might be simpler for you. |

Why can't you just make the .bat file with the correct contents? |

Open Notepad and save it as [filename] .bat Just add the extension to the name when saving. |
