This should be new to most of you guys. This part of the memory lets you edit the tiles that assemble the custom screen! Ready? Copy this address:

086E64B4

View should be 16-bit, Faltzer version presumably. Hit go and you should see this.

The first two rows of bytes is the first row on the custom screen. If you really want to see what this does, I suggest you make a state save at the white screen before a battle.

So how do you get the results you want? You always try values around it. Follow along; switch a couple of the first row values to value 9001. Reload the custom screen and see what you did.

Wow, you've just overrode the first letters of "BATTLE" on the top! This my seem like a little, but deeper down, you can put together more important tiles! If you have Tile Layer Pro, load it and go to 6E1D38 (that was hard to get)

There, the tiles are ordered perfectly. You now know that 9001 is that first tile, 9002 is the letter "B", and so on. You can compare them and figure out how you want to assemble the custom screen. Just add 1h and you'll get the next piece. This takes a lot of time and patience. Something that would be much easier done with a program, but that doesn't exist. I may add more as more is found. In the meantime, ask questions or discuss. I know there is one unused tile bit that may be used to actually ADD more to the custom screen.

Here's what I did and what will be available in my next patch update.

Value 901A is unused and is that little [x] bit near the beginning. After some trial and error, you'll know where to put it. I've already added an extra bevel on the bottom left corner of my custom screen.

Adding a 4, 8, or C after the first 9 flips that tile piece, so you can put it into whatever direction it fits.

Hahaha, funny, I found this adress before, but I couldent decode the data..., I just FF'ed it and half of the custom screen went boom. It wasn't interesting for me, I mostly don't hack graphics. Anyways, I might ... try =D

Awesome! I can finally make that 3 pixel shading that I never wanted to do <_<
I remember seeing something about tiles somewhere... There was a green image with black lines that were about 5 pixels apart, and made a square grid. You know when the whole screen turns into something like that from glitches? It was the same size as the tiles. When i was scanning the 0x2 section, I found the results screen, and just randomized it.
I run a Mass Effect 3 modding site named ME3Tweaks.com that details how to mod ME3 as well as showcasing mods for the multiplayer aspect of the game. I also developed a mod manager utility as well as an online mod creation tool named ModMaker.

This system is true for many things in this area. I know the battlefield one, so certain panels can visually replace others, but I won't reveal this one because it won't be used very good. I'll get the emotion window one soon. Then you can add the angry and Full Syncro background back to the emotion windows! :D

Oh, and apparently, the 9 tells it what palette to load. So you can edit a nearby palette that has leftover colors for you to use on that bit to have even more possibilities‼
