Pick any MMBN game, including BCC and 4.5, and hack it. Make a recording, and upload it on youtube. Post a link here, and you will be included in this contest. We know that alot of members here have hacked some pretty useless things(...Mgamerz...), but who hacked the most impressive? Now, we will see who can hack the most impressive battle and/or overworld occurances known. Rules & Restrictions: 1. Vid MUST be uploaded via youtube. No upload requiring the viewer to download it. 2. No using patches. The only exception to the rule is the translation patch for MMBN4.5. 3. No malicious links. 4. Vids can include more than one battle, but battles must be shown for atleast 15 seconds each, allowing the viewer to actually comprehend what's happening. 5. When the contest has ended, it would be appreciated if all contestants would list the various hacks/cheats that directly affected what they did(that means all chips code need not be listed) Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not have a very impressive vid. It will simply be a mere experiment I've been thinking of including multiple AI's, Megaman, and a donkey(wtf?). Okay, maybe not a donkey, but definitely Protoman. |

OK, when you said "no using patches," that means I can't use MREXE's patch? It merely just changes the emotion window and a few chip names (and BassBX's name to BassGX). Tell me if I can use this video for the contest or not. EDIT: I'm talking about MMBN6, btw.

You can use that vid. You cant use MRE's patch, or any editing of the game's sprites. All color mods are open game though. Do not change my rules, Nemo. Do not modify my post, or else. That is not only a threat(if you consider it), but also a promise. I WILL have my vid entered into the contest. I will not be biased because of this. |

… that and it kinda takes away from actually "posting." Anyways, buster, I can't use that video. It has MR's patch in it. That's why I'm making a new one. |

suckage, if you mean just battle hacks then it's Timaeus or W/E his name is, if it's overall hack it's either you (Buster) or Mgamerz, best 2 hackers for BN (Maybe MR?) |

Thanks, chaud.lobna.slasher! Oh yeah, and please look over this one, buster. I think this is my best hack(if you count using cheats to modify stuff and modifying the battle itself more than hacking navis' names and color palettes, etc.): http://youtube.com/watch?v=oVKRAfbBMHE It's called: Megaman VS Blues' Army I use the japanese names because they get more searches. But what do you think? Do you think I should enter this, or the one called "Attack of the MegaMettaur!"? That is more funny than it is hacked since there's only one Mettaur, but I gave it 3 FlashBomb3 chips and changed its A.I. to RareQuaker2.EDIT: I just learned how to hack around June 20th. I got the hang of it fast because I loved it!

Sure. Even though this might have nothing to do with the topic… timaeus, what output option do you use in WMM to get videos that looks like the ones you have now? Not like the battle setup, but I mean the quality of the video. |

SZ.EXE, for best results, use Windows XP and use the "340 kbps" quality(bottom options). For Windows Vista, use "Best quality for playback on my computer". that kinda makes some colors darker and some lighter, but it still has good quality. Just the color palette is slightly messed up. I'd suggest you use Windows Movie Maker in Windows XP. EDIT: I never noticed! I'm an SP member now! Cool. - My level will change in the future, so this is just when I became one. |

I'm not a fantastic hacker. I just think of things other people don't. I think I'll put up a cheat search tut though... I doubt I'll win. I'll put my money on Mgamerz or MRE. Timaeus, you're not the best hacker on this site(Neither am I), but having seen your vids, you are a gifted hacker. With some more work, you could very well surpass Megarock. Keep working at it, and you may win this contest. I wish you luck. May the force be with you. |

I don't understand this at all. The whole concept of hacking games revolves around patching. All these codes that we use are small patches -- they patch pieces of RAM. Basically what you're saying with this rule is you can only change things through the memory viewer, which technically still patching, just manually. Do you mean no patching the ROM? If so, why? There are so many cool things you could make by editing the ROM that you couldn't with codes. |

Spikeman, the reason I said no patches is because I dont want any editing of ingame sprites or text rewrites. I only want hacking through the memviewer and codes. |

What the hell buster? USELESS THINGS? ERHEM, THIS IS THE GAME DAMNIT! ITS HACKING NO MATTER WHAT WAY YOU PUT IT! BTW, I'm uploading one now. I hope it works, because this has been uploading for like 4 hours now because my internet is like frozen, and I feel like I'm on dial up. Edit: Shoulda read the other part of the topic. Yeah, with this vid that I mad, I should totally own. I can't really put much more onto it, or the game will freeze from overloading. I mean, I was getting 12% as it was. This is probably the best I've done so far, but I think I can pull off a bit more. MWAHAH! KICK BUTT! Here's my prototype entry, if I don't do another entry, use this one. BTW, when's the deadline? Also, I think you should have an outside judge, just so like if i piss you off (Which I don't find very hard anyways), I still have a chance. |
| I run a Mass Effect 3 modding site named ME3Tweaks.com that details how to mod ME3 as well as showcasing mods for the multiplayer aspect of the game. I also developed a mod manager utility as well as an online mod creation tool named ModMaker. | |

Yes, useless things. The removal of the background and the battlefield. The flipping of the battlefield. The editing of dialogue. It does nothing to improve the gameplay quality. Folder hacking, battle hacking, and even Style Hacking add a little twist into the gameplay. Hacking is hacking, yes, but the things you find usually arent practical. Fun, but not practical. I would like to know what you did to make the battlefield disappear. |

I'm agree with Mgamerz. This isn't useless things. Maybe he will find something new or missing. Point for you, Buster. Your quote is funny, even if it's wrong. |
