In each layer(Every layer) use the Colour point or whatever is and click on the BG and cut it (CTRL+ X)

I think so if u can cut a picture and paste it in a new sheet then it's possible.

didn't u read greiga master's tut???
anyways here's the main idea:
1.u open a sprite sheet and copy the first sprite that ur going to animate in a new page.
2.save it and delete all of the sprite exept for the shadow so u could aline them.
3.u do step 1 and 2 again until u have all the sprites ur going to animate.
4.open GIMP,go to file->open and then open the first sprite.
5.now in that sprite go to file->open as layer and then open the second sprite.
6.repeat step 5 until u have all the sprites in one page and then VOILA u did ur animation.
NOTE:u have to save all of the pictures in GIF mode otherwise it won't work.

@Buster: Yes, animation can be done in PS, only much confusing

@Zocks:Believe it, he ask about animation could be done in PS....
